The two support methods are different:
The support body of the ball type linear guide rail is the ball, and the contact with the slideway is point contact (two-point and four point contact type, of course, the more contact points, the better the rigidity, the higher the manufacturing accuracy, and the higher the cost);
The supporting body of roller type linear guide rail (cross roller guide rail) is a roller, which is in line contact with the slideway. Compared with the ball type, it has higher rigidity and greater bearing capacity. However, one problem is that its travel is limited. Unlike most ball type, its travel can be spliced very long (unlimited length).
