The soft starting technology of AC squirrel-cage motors has been applied in developed countries for many years, successfully solving problems such as the large starting current caused during the starting of AC motors, the impact on the quality of the supply voltage, the increase in power line losses, and the impact on mechanical equipment.
The CHRHR soft starter is precisely based on an advanced microprocessor as its core, applying advanced software design methods and hardware technologies. It adopts thyristor phase shift technology to achieve the soft start and soft stop functions of AC asynchronous motors. Meanwhile, it features multiple protection functions such as phase loss, overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent, overload, three-phase imbalance, and short circuit.
Typical applications
▪ Water pump - By utilizing the pump control function, the water hammer phenomenon caused by liquid flow impact during start-up and shutdown is reduced, thus saving system maintenance costs
▪ Ball mill - Utilizing double slope voltage for starting, it reduces the wear of gear torque, decreases maintenance workload, and saves both time and costs
▪ Fan - Replacing the old traditional starter with a soft starter reduces belt wear and mechanical shock, saving maintenance costs
▪ Compressor - By using current-limiting or double-slope starting, smooth starting is achieved, reducing motor heating and extending service life
▪ Crusher - Utilizing locked rotor and rapid protection, it prevents the motor from overheating and burning out due to mechanical failure or blockage
▪ Conveying machinery - By using soft start and preset low-speed operation, a smooth and progressive starting process is achieved, avoiding product displacement and liquid overflow
Product Features
1.There are three starting methods: the voltage ramp starting method can achieve the maximum output torque, the constant current soft starting method can obtain the maximum limited starting current, and the heavy-load starting method can output the maximum starting torque
2. Parking methods: Voltage slope soft parking, free parking
3. Programmable delayed start mode, programmable interlock control, and programmable fault contact output
4. There is no requirement for the phase sequence of the input power supply
5. Both the start time and the stop time can be programmed and modified
6. It has multiple protection functions: overcurrent, three-phase current imbalance, overheating, phase loss, motor overload and other protection
7. Dynamic fault memory function facilitates the identification of the cause of faults
8. The maximum starting current and the maximum operating current of the three phases can be found online

▪ Applicable standard: GB14048.6-2008 (IEC947-4-2)
▪ Applicable motor: Squirrel-cage three-phase asynchronous motor
▪ Rated voltage: AC three-phase symmetrical power supply 380V± 15%, 660V± 15%, 1140V± 15% Frequency: 50Hz± 2%
▪ Seismic resistance capacity: Below 3,000 meters from the ground altitude, and the vibration force of the device is less than 0.5G
▪ Start-up frequency: Frequent or infrequent start-ups are acceptable. It is recommended that the start-up frequency be ≤ 10 times per hour
▪ Cooling method: Natural cooling (Z6 forced air cooling) \ nImpact resistance: 15g 11ms \ nProtection grade: IP20
▪ Working height: The altitude of the installation site should not exceed 1,000 meters. For every additional 100 meters, the current decreases by 0.5%
▪ Operating temperature: 5℃ to 55℃. For every 10℃ increase, the current decreases by 1.2%
▪ Relative humidity: Up to 90% at a temperature of 20℃
