Theoretically, the linear guide can be extended indefinitely; However, the servo guide+lead screw can only reach the length of 4M due to the influence of load, lead screw outer diameter, accuracy level and other factors.
2. Simple maintenance
There are few linear guide parts, no contact of moving machinery, and little or no maintenance. Servo motor screw rod has many structures and components, so it needs frequent maintenance or replacement of accessories.
3. Life comparison
Linear guide: because there is no direct contact between the moving parts and the fixed parts, the linear guide will not be worn due to the high-speed movement of the mover. Even if it is used for a long time, the motion accuracy will not change, so the service life of the linear guide is longer.
Servo motor+screw rod: the high speed movement of the ball screw rod causes the wear of the transmission parts, and at the same time, it cannot ensure the accuracy in the high-speed reciprocating movement, thus affecting the accuracy.
