1.Technical Characteristics

       Closed-loop stepper motor control, as a new type of stepper motor control technology, installs a high-precision optical incremental encoder on the rear shaft of the traditional two-phase stepper motor. Due to the encoder's characteristic of real-time rotor position information return, the driver can monitor the motor shaft position in real time and sample the motor shaft position information up to 20,000 times per second. This enables the driver to compensate for displacement deviations in real time and ensure precise positioning. However, for traditional open-loop stepping motors, since there is no encoder to feed back the real-time position information of the rotor, when the load suddenly changes, the motor will lose steps, resulting in positioning errors and ultimately causing huge losses to users.

 

      Under high load and high-speed conditions, HBS57 still performs outstandingly without losing step or making positioning errors. Compared with ordinary stepper motors and drivers, HBS57 can maintain high torque output for a long time. Under 100% load conditions, the stepper motor can run continuously without losing step. Unlike traditional open-loop stepper drivers, HBS57 relies on its innovative current phase control technology to achieve continuous high-torque operation under high-speed motion conditions. Because it can monitor the current positioning characteristics in real time, the feed motor can still maintain a high torque output under 100% load.

 

2. Performance parameters:

*It adopts a brand-new dual-core DSP chip dedicated to 32-bit motor control;
*Adopt advanced vector current, speed and position closed-loop control algorithms;
*The ratio of static current to dynamic current can be set arbitrarily (within the range of 0 to 7A).
*It can drive the full range of two-phase hybrid stepping servo motors from 42 to 60.
*The motor is standard-equipped with a 1000-line high-precision encoder.
*Optocoupler isolates differential signal input;
*The maximum pulse response frequency can reach up to 200KHZ.
*There are 16 detailed Settings (400-51200), and special detailed Settings can be changed according to customer requirements.
*It has protection functions such as overcurrent, overvoltage, overspeed, overheating and tracking error deviation.
*Support instruction control mode;
*It integrates RS232 communication function and supports software debugging parameters on the PC end.

 

3.Relative advantages of the product
● Features superior to open-loop stepper motor drivers:

  *Accurate positioning ensures that the motor will not lose step.

  *The positioning is stable. Even if affected by external forces, such as mechanical vibration or vertical positioning retention, it will automatically return to its original position.

  *The motor is driven by 100% of the rated torque, while traditional open-loop stepping motors usually only use 50% of the rated torque to drive the motor to avoid the problem of losing step.

  *The control current of HBS57 is determined by the load, allowing the motor to operate at high speeds. In contrast, traditional stepper motors use a constant current regardless of the load, thus significantly enhancing energy efficiency.

  *Since there is no loss of motor torque output, the volume of the motor is reduced by 1-2 stops compared with the original open-loop system, thereby making the installation size of the motor smaller and reducing the system cost.

● Features superior to AC servo motor drivers:
  *No gain adjustment is required (gain is automatically adjusted according to load changes);

  *Maintain stable position control and there is no jitter after positioning is completed.

  *It can achieve rapid positioning, and the acceleration and deceleration curves can be steeper, thereby improving processing efficiency.

  *Be good at running continuously in fast and short-stroke movements;

  *The cost is only 30%-50% of that of the AC servo system.
